Councilman Mike Gallagher Tours Beckmann Quarry

District 10 Councilman Mike Gallagher and members of his staff toured Beckmann Quarry on Nov. 15. Regional Vice President of Martin Marietta – Central Texas Aggregates Chance Allen discussed the daily operations, previous reclamation projects such as Fiesta Texas and the shops at La Cantera, as well as future mining plans of the Beckmann Quarry. At the end of the tour, the group watched a quarry blast and learned about the safety precautions taken at the quarry.
